Rest of the Fucking Owl

A lot of guides don't explain or skip obvious steps and basics. This makes it hard to use and adjust examples to achieve your goals.

This was a common problem for me and others in the class, that we kept forgetting angles had to be passed in radians by default for sin/cos/rotation parameters.

Conclusion

While I had lots of fun creating these small projects, truthfully I learned almost nothing new. I was mostly utilizing things learned from last semester and before. My main issue was, having another topic every day meant, that taking risks and going for large projects was off the table, since I was under the impression I had to be done by the end of the day. If the goal had been to just create something generative with JS in 3 weeks, I would have explored and gone out of comfort much more. That being said, I am very happy with the results and myself for managing the scope of the projects and not get lost spending too much time on it.

For Future Students and Courses

If like me you are not interested in purely visual Art but more in algorithms, try creating something generative thats productive. Ask your professor (Guillome Massol in my case), if you can work on something longer and skip something else instead. What i created on Day 6 could have productive value for later and I wish, I did more things like that. Be aware of the saveCanvas() function and its potential. Also if you are taking the AUDIO course, its a great idea and time to create an audio visualizer for example.
